The environmental approval is the administrative document issued by the competent authority for environmental protection, which establishes the conditions and, as the case may be, the measures for environmental protection, which must be respected for the carrying out a certain project. Requesting and obtaining the environmental approval is mandatory for all public or private projects or for the modification or expansion of existing activities, which may have a significant impact on the environment.
Environmental impact assessment is the process intended to identify, describe and establish, depending on each case and in accordance with the legislation in force, the direct and indirect, synergistic, cumulative, main and secondary effects of a project on human health and the environment.
Adequate evaluation is the process intended to identify, describe and establish, depending on the conservation objectives and in accordance with the legislation in force, the direct and indirect, synergistic, cumulative, main and secondary effects of any plan or project, that does not have a direct connection with, or is not necessary for the management of a protected natural area of community interest, but which could significantly affect the area, individually or in combination with other plans or projects.
